January 21, 2026, Nicosia: Sliq, the Cyprus-based all-in-one financial management platform and a member of the G.A.P. Vassilopoulos Group, has partnered with European embedded lending platform finmid to launch Sliq Boost. The partnership addresses a long-standing challenge for Cypriot merchants: even businesses with strong and consistent transaction volumes often struggle to access capital in time to act when growth opportunities arise.
Eliminating complexity from business financing
Sliq was founded to simplify business finance by bringing payments, banking, and financial services into a single platform. With Sliq Boost, eligible Sliq Business customers receive pre-approved financing offers directly within their merchant portal, removing the lengthy applications and manual reviews typically associated with traditional business loans.
Merchants can accept offers of up to €30,000 with just three taps, with funds available within 48 hours. Financing decisions are based on real-time sales data from the Vpayments payment processing platform, also part of G.A.P. Vassilopoulos Group. Payments are automatically deducted as a percentage of Vpayments sales, removing the pressure of fixed monthly obligations. To be eligible for financing, businesses must be at least one year old and active on both Sliq and Vpayments for a minimum of three months.
"Through Vpayments, we saw merchants generating strong revenues but facing liquidity gaps exactly when new opportunities arose. Traditional financing is simply too slow and rigid to reflect how these businesses operate. With Sliq Boost, merchants can seize these opportunities by accessing capital quickly, receiving funds within 48 hours, and repaying in a way that follows their actual sales. That is the financial experience we set out to build,"
says Andreas Vassilopoulos, Founder and Managing Director at Sliq.
Merchants using Sliq Boost fund real business growth
Early users of Sliq Boost include retail, hospitality, and e-commerce businesses. Merchants have already used the financing to purchase inventory, upgrade equipment, manage seasonal fluctuations, and support business expansion.
"Accessing funding directly through Sliq Business allowed us to expand our business to open a new location. The process was fast and easy to understand, and payments are linked to our actual sales, which makes a meaningful difference for how we manage cash flow,"
says Dogs World Pet Center, a Sliq Business merchant in the retail sector.
"Most platforms focus on either payments, banking, or lending but rarely all three. Sliq is building something different for Cyprus by bringing these services together in a single platform where they work naturally for businesses. That is the future of business banking, and we are excited to power the lending layer of that vision,"
says Max Schertel, Co-Founder of finmid.
